Dr. Brett Wilkinson's collective scholarly works draw upon continental philosophy, cognitive science, psychology of mind, and applied therapeutic practices to forge new and innovative pathways into the future of mental health. He serves as editor-in-chief of The Journal of Humanistic Counseling, founding Director of the PFW Institute for Counseling Research, and is a licensed counselor in private practice. His primary research interests include existential-phenomenological methods, cognitive complexity, radical embodied cognition, reflective supervision, and therapeutic change mechanisms.
He is associate professor and chair of the Department of Counseling and Graduate Education at Purdue University Fort Wayne.
